When someone makes a decision to buy a cake the main item to decide is, what type of cake should I buy? German chocolate cake, red velvet cake, chocolate cake, pound cake, carrot cake, strawberry cake, etc.. The next item of business is to decide which type of icing. See, cake tastes great but what makes it better is the icing.
When selling a product or service the pricing is the equivalent to the icing. Too many times sales people focus on the price and not on the value of the service or product. I believe that price does play a factor in a customers buying decision but it’s not the sole reason. I, just like everyone else, have been guilty of choosing the lower price of similar items. Sometimes it works out in my favor, but most of the time it doesn’t. I’ve learned that you get what you pay for. Cheap is not always the best and the best is not always cheap.
So when talking with a prospect make sure to sell the cake and not the icing.
Today was Baby Chase’s Photo Shoot. I ended up taking close to 100 pictures but only found around 10-15 that I liked. I played around in Adobe Lightroom on the first image and was impressed with the results. I plan on tweaking out the other pictures but it’s a little difficult working on a netbook. I need a bigger screen…I was thinking about looking into getting a Mac. Supposedly they are better working with images and design work. Enjoy the pics below!
“My dad tells the funniest jokes!”
Mommy blowing him kisses…He’s such a ladies man!
“Hey, don’t touch my pacifier!”
“What’s that cricket up to?”
